The forty-five tomato plants I accidentally grew when I sprinkled little tomato seeds everywhere back in March have now almost all been distributed to various parts of Dublin and beyond.
They’ve gone to Liskillea, Carrigaline and The Lough in Cork. Dooradoyle in Limerick and Killaloe in Clare. Some went to the IFSC, Smithfield, Templeogue, North Strand, Milltown, Rialto and Rathmines. Phew!
To keep track of how they’re getting on, we’ve started using a hashtag on instagram: #EmmyCherries. Whirling around below are some of the updates so far.
I can’t wait until the tomatoes actually start to grow. Who will get the most?
I’m still listening to tUnEyArDs – Nikki Nack a lot. It turned up on Jim Carroll’s 30 best albums of 2014 (so far) at the weekend. As my father pointed out, I have always been partial to lists like that, and I was happy to see quite a few of my favourites turn up on Jim’s list. There are a few on there that I haven’t listened to yet, so that’s nice too. I would have omitted Damon Albarn in favour of Mogwai’s Rave Tapes, but each to their own!
